I made these numbers using the Pen tool.

For this I made the numbers using the Pen tool with an Ink brushstroke. Then I drew the numbers again, using a charcoal symbol for a pattern brush. Almost looks like a dismal year...

Assignment 3 Lab Work: Duck

I made this duck following this tutorial.

Illustrator Assignment 3: Animal

  First, I drew this sheep using ink on paper, from photo reference. Then I scanned the sketch and traced over it using the pen tool. I learned a lot on this assignment; getting used to how the pen tool works was challenging for me. I used a tablet for some of the line drawing.

Illustrator Assignment 2: Collage

I made this using the symbols provided in Illustrator. I enjoyed achieving as much originality as I could by sizing and transforming the images, so they didn't look too repeated.

Illustrator Assignment 1: Flower

This is the first project I made in Illustrator. I think the most difficult part for me was spacing the petals correctly, so that I could duplicate them all the way around the center and come out even. I ended up just accomplishing it by trial and error; I'm sure there is a mathematical technique for it to take out the guesswork.
